Scholarships
The James Foundation has a goal of improving the quality of life in DeKalb County, including providing educational opportunities for its youth.
The James Foundation offers competitive scholarships to graduates of High Schools in DeKalb County. The renewable scholarships offered are:
- A two-year scholarship will be awarded to a graduate who intends to enroll in or has been accepted into a two-year course study leading to a degree or certification in a technical, vocational, or trade field. The scholarship awarded will be for $5,000 each year.
- A four-year scholarships will be awarded to a graduate who intends to enroll in a four-year baccalaureate program. The scholarship is for $5,000 each year.
The James Scholars are selected on a basis of their ability to excel in their chosen field and demonstrate good standing within the school and community.
The 2025 James Foundation Scholarship Application will be available in September 2024.

Upon selection, The James Scholars will be provided instructions and related documentation for their scholarships.
